  What is quality site design?

A quality website does not have to have a gazillion colorful graphics, nor does it have to have the latest "cool gadget".  What matters most is how the website looks to your customer.  Your first priority should always be site attractiveness, immediately followed by loading speed.  What this means is that in order to be successful with a website, you need to be believable, and keep your customers not only happy, but coming back to your site!

What does building a quality site entail?

There are several "basics" you need to have when looking for someone to design a website for you:

1) Money.  Obviously, it takes money to get what you want ...but don't be fooled - in the world of web page design, more expensive doesn't always equal "better".  For example, you might get charged $1,000 for a website with incredible flash animation, all kinds of dynamic content, etc.  It looks like a million bucks ....and then your site sits on the internet for a year with little to no traffic.  (Your average website designer will not tell you that the largest search engines can't "read" flash animations, causing you to miss out on possible high placement in the engines, resulting in lost revenue

2) Vision.  Before you pursue a designer, you need to have a rough idea in your head of what you want.  It is much easier for a designer to bring your vision to life than to try and guess what you might want.  You don't need all the techy details or know the terminology, but you should have an idea of layout, menu items, banner type, color schemes and the overall "feel" of what your new website should be.  In other words, if you could sketch what you want on paper, then you've achieved the vision for your website.

3)  Patience.  You, as the customer, must have patience enough to wait until you and the designer are both "on the same page", so to speak.  The designer, in turn, must have enough patience to see through what you are trying to say, and translate that into his language, the art of web page design.

I am not the best web designer on the internet ...not by any stretch of the imagination.  But, what I am is a designer that can understand what you want, and bring it to life ...and not charge you an arm and a leg for it!  See for yourself - get a free instant online price quote!
